Spain has numerous attractions for families with kids – theme parks, museums, gardens or sport arrangements are ideal to keep children busy and happy. Most of the touristic attractions for kids are located in the two main cities of Spain – Madrid and Barcelona. However, the many beautiful beaches are ideal for kids to swim, dive or snorkel.

Madrid has two large theme parks – the Warner Bros Park and Parque de attraciones. Located 20 km away from Madrid, the Warner Bros park has 5 different areas – the Hollywood Boulevard, the Cartoon Village where kids will meet the well known characters from the Warner Bros cartoons, the Superhero World, the Old West Territory and the Warner Brothers section where children will learn how cartoons are made. Parque de attraciones is close to Casa de Campo and has more than 40 rides to take your breath away – pony rides, a carousel, roller coasters, space and jungle adventures and a maze.

Barcelona Aquarium is the place where kids will see and learn about thousands of exotic, colorful fish accommodated in 35 huge tanks with sea creatures from different oceans and seas. Don’t miss the tropical tank, the Mediterranean tank or the Oceanarium (the largest of this kind in Europe).

Apart from theme parks and aquariums, there are open door swimming pools, movie theaters or outdoor adventure parks. Here children will enjoy a walk through the Spanish village or the Children’s village where they can learn crafts during several workshops or take part in different shows. The Toy Museum of Catalonia from Barcelona is no boring place for children. With more than 4000 toys displayed, from different time periods, this museum will keep children busy for many hours.
